It’s that time of year again where we’re all running around, or clicking around, to find those last minute gift ideas for friends and family. If you have a craft beer lover on your list, check out the 5 items below. These are unique ideas, but also a way to help support local breweries during this difficult year.
Gift Baskets
A lot of local breweries are putting together really awesome gift baskets that include some of their own craft beer, games, candles, sweet treats and many other unique add-ons. If you are local to Bloomingdale, IL, check out this awesome holiday gift basket offered by Wolfden Brewing here.
Not in that area? Do a quick search of local breweries and take a quick look at their social media or website to see if they have something like this available. Can’t find any available in your area? Place an order for beer from your local brewery and create one yourself that can be tailored to your gift recipient.
Collaborations
Some breweries are teaming up to help support worthy causes. Silver Branch Brewing Company is teaming up with Astro Lab Brewing to help collect items for a food drive. Check it out here. Those who donate 3 or more items receive 10% off of beer! What is better than the gift of beer? The gift of 10% off beer and giving back to the community, of course!

The Brewing Projekt has teamed up with ECCHA to raise funds for the homeless pets this holiday season by selling Santa Paws Donation Ornaments. You can check them out here.

Merch
Most breweries have merchandise for sale. This is a great gift idea that is both unique and helps support our breweries. From t-shirts and hoodies to fleece blankets and winter hats, make sure to check out the merch tab at your local brewery! Local to the Darien/Woodridge area? Make sure to check out Skeleton Key Brewery and Miskatonic Brewery!

Gift cards
This is a wonderful and simple way to both support local breweries and put a smile on that craft beer loving friend or family member of yours. Most breweries have these available for purchase right on their website. This is a great idea if you do not live near the brewery/gift recipient that you are buying for or if you are not sure what kind of beer they like.
Beer
Pretty straightforward, am I right? If you live near the brewery that you are wanting to purchase from, place an order for contactless pick up (or delivery if it is offered) and you can cross that gift off your list. Might as well pick up a few brews for yourself while you’re at it!
