Brew Review-Anniversary Edition

Skeleton Key Brewery just celebrated their one year anniversary this past weekend in a big way!

The local Chicagoland brewery showed off with some new beers as well as their first ever bottle release of “Racecars, Lasers, Aeroplanes” Wee Heavy aged in rye barrels from Journeyman Distillery. The Wee Heavy is truly an accomplishment- I can honestly say I have never had a better barrel aged beer. I won’t even attempt to explain it to you, but I will say they still have a limited number of bottles left for purchase.  Do yourself a favor and get into Skeleton Key for yours today.

The brews were so delicious in fact, that I came back just a few days later for the remaining beer on the menu that I had not yet sampled- Jupiter’s Thunder. We brought home a growler and smiled after that first sip- because of course, Skeleton Key had done it again.  Every beer drinker is different. We all like different types of beer and that’s what makes going to breweries fun- there is always variety and usually something new on tap. Sometimes you fall in love, other times not so much. But there would be absolutely no denying that this double IPA is simply superior.
Skeleton Key you’ve pretty much rocked it from day one.  Keep making great beer and doing great things!  Happy Anniversary from Lance CPA Group!
