Smoothies and Captain Crunch: Meet Samantha Aycock, Director of Operations

“I drink smoothies.  I’m an adult.”  This is my latest favorite quote from our cheeseburger- loving Director of Operations, Samantha Aycock.  It’s hard to come up with just the right descriptors to introduce you to Sam- her big personality says it better than words ever could.  In short- you will instantly fall in love with her.  Sam’s ability to talk to people and build connections among and with them is uncanny.  She remembers the tiniest details about people she has talked to.  Our most used phrase with Sam is “of course you do.”  This woman knows more people on a personal level than you can imagine.

She’s a two on the Enneagram which means she is constantly helping others and putting their needs above her own.  Her favorite color is pink, but don’t let that fool you, she’s fierce on the basketball court.  This is fitting considering her favorite article of clothing is her gym shoes.

When she’s not out conquering the court or working with the firm, you can usually find her with her family.  She’s a deeply committed mama and wife who adores her family; even when her 4 year old smushes bananas into the couch and throws tortilla chips at the Christmas tree.

Sam’s favorite beer is Skeleton Key’s “Clever Girl.”  Her favorite cereals are Captain Crunch and Frosted Flakes (though let’s be realistic, she likes them all) and loves breakfast in general.  If she wasn’t working for an accounting firm, she would be a nurse.  And given the choice between asking for forgiveness and asking for permission- she will ALWAYS ask for permission.

Samantha is truly one of a kind.  If you have the privilege of meeting her, you won’t soon forget her.  We are so thankful to have such a gifted person like Sam as a part of our team!
