Tax season can at times, call for long days and late nights.  So what is it about tax season that you find enjoyable?

I look forward to jumping on a Google Hangout with other members of the tax team to talk about anything but tax.  We will chat about our families and other things in life and just laugh.  It helps break up the long hours!

Biggest piece of advice for our clients as they prepare for tax season to set them up for success?

When in doubt on a document or other information just send it to us.  We would rather have more information than we need rather than having to ask you for additional items or miss something because we didn’t know about it.

The sooner the better. The sooner you get your stuff into us, the more time you have to get us missing items and not have to rush or forget stuff when it’s too close to the deadline.

Biggest piece of advice for our clients as they prepare for tax season to set them up for success?

My biggest piece of advice in preparing for tax season is to get yourself as organized as possible.  Make a list of the documents you’ll need for your tax return and start checking them off as they come in.

Biggest piece of advice for our clients as they prepare for tax season to set them up for success?

Don’t procrastinate!  Turn all of your information in ASAP and answer questions in a timely fashion.  Just because you owe money, putting off getting your return done won’t change the due date and getting it done sooner doesn’t mean you have to pay any sooner.

About Lindsay Pastorino

Being organized and a bit of a clean freak, Lindsay's idea of a good time is cleaning out her closets.  We wouldn't even put it past her to “Danny Tanner it” and vacuum her vacuum from time to time!  These traits, however, make her the perfect person for the project manager role.  When she's not keeping things organized, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
