Does winter have you feeling blue? Do you miss hanging with your friends? Do you need something to get excited about and a great excuse to make plans? We have a suggestion for you!
We put together a list of 4 upcoming beer festivals local to Chicago. These events are unique and each have incredible line ups of breweries attending. Beer fests are a perfect way to try new breweries, taste your favorites and enjoy some great company.
First off, Westmont Beer Fest is February 17th. The event runs 3-7pm at Ty Warner Park. Tickets are $50 if purchased online, $70 at the door and a DD ticket is $10. Participants will receive 20 four ounce pours of a variety of craft beer selections. The event will have heated and lighted tents, bonfires, outdoor seating and food trucks.
February 24th is Naperville Ale Fest; Illinois’ largest outdoor winter beer fest. We’ll feature more than 150 craft beers – with a strong focus on beers only available in winter. The event is happening from 12PM – 4PM at Frontier Park. Tickets are $60 each. Each ticket includes entry to the fest and 18 3oz samples.
For the Northern IL crowd, the Lake County Craft Beer fest is indoors at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake. It is also on February 24th. Tickets are $50 for general admission, $80 for VIP and $10 for DD. Tickets include access from 5-9pm, a souvenir sampling glass, and 25 beverage samples. VIP tickets get an extra hour of beer, starting at 4pm.
Brewsology Beer Fest is at the Museum of Science and Industry. This event is March 2 from 6-11pm. Tickets range from $55-95 and hours of admittance are based on the cost. The event will feature dozens of local craft breweries and cideries. Attendees will have access throughout the museum with beer samplings included with admission. Food will be available for purchase.
